Deck overview

This is a mono-black Yawgmoth, Thran Physician aristocrats deck built around converting creatures into cards, -1/-1 counters into tokens, and deaths into drain. The engine is Yawgmoth himself: sacrifice spare bodies to draw cards and spread -1/-1 counters, then turn those counters into Insects with Nest of Scarabs or recur cheap bodies like Gravecrawler and Butcher Ghoul for repeatable sacrifice loops. Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Bastion of Remembrance are the primary kill condition, converting infinite death triggers into table-wide life loss. Gray Merchant of Asphodel provides a big devotion swing as a backup, and the proliferate package can push poison and drain damage through Scheming Aspirant. The deck is a grindy, commander-centric value engine: it is powerful when Yawgmoth sticks, and dramatically weaker when he does not.
