Deck overview

This deck is an interactive Spellslinger shell helmed by Riku of Many Paths, designed to extract compounding card advantage and board presence from modal spells. By combining cost reducers such as Stormcatch Mentor and Case of the Ransacked Lab with high-velocity mana engines like Storm-Kiln Artist, the deck rapidly chains multi-mode instants and sorceries. Each modal cast triggers Riku to generate 1/1 flying Bird tokens, impulse draw, and commander buffs, ensuring resources remain replenished across every turn cycle. As the game transitions into the mid-game, the deck leverages damage amplifiers including Fiery Inscription and Guttersnipe, alongside explosive multiplier spells like Thousand-Year Storm and Veyran, Voice of Duality, to burn out the table or overwhelm opponents with an evasive token army pumped by Balmor, Battlemage Captain or Surge to Victory. Supported by a dense suite of flexible modal interaction and protection, the deck reliably pivots between reactive control and explosive closing turns.
