Deck overview

Vren, the Relentless leads a Rat tribal swarm that wins by flooding the board with Rat Colony and Relentless Rats, which grow larger for each other Rat you control. The primary plan uses Thrumming Stone to ripple one Rat spell into many, or Marrow-Gnawer to double your board, then buffs the army with Banner of Kinship, Door of Destinies, Patchwork Banner, and Ashcoat of the Shadow Swarm for lethal combat. Secondary paths drain opponents with Mirkwood Bats or grind with Grave Pact and Sothera. Vren is not the engine; he provides graveyard hate by exiling dying opposing creatures and creates scaling 1/1 Rats at each end step. Thrumming Stone and Marrow-Gnawer act as hidden commanders that the deck builds around.
