Deck overview

This is a defensive-tempo Arcades, the Strategist deck. The primary plan is to cast the dragon and convert a board of high-toughness walls into card draw and lethal attacks, assigning combat damage equal to toughness. The secondary path is a small mill package, while The Pride of Hull Clade acts as a hidden commander and localized backup for removing the defender attack restriction. The commander is the engine: every defender that enters draws a card, and once Arcades is on the battlefield walls are both blockers and attackers. The deck can rebuild with Ascend from Avernus and Dusk // Dawn, but it is heavily dependent on Arcades staying in play to turn idle walls into a clock.
