Deck overview

This Bant deck is a specialized aggro-control strategy built around Arcades, the Strategist. By turning inexpensive, high-toughness creatures with defender into potent combat threats that draw cards upon entering the battlefield, the deck creates massive mana efficiency and continuous card advantage. An 0/8 wall for three mana effectively becomes an 8/8 beater that cantrips. The deck supports this aggressive combat core with asymmetric board control: cards like Meekstone, Slaughter the Strong, and Wave of Reckoning punish high-power opposing boards while leaving 0-power defenders completely unharmed. A dense suite of countermagic and targeted removal ensures that key engine pieces and combat swings remain protected from opposing disruption.
