Deck overview

This deck is an Elf Tribal Combo list led by Thranduil, the Elvenking. It blends traditional Elfball ramp with a dedicated graveyard-activated ability package. In the early game, cheap mana dorks establish mana velocity to deploy self-mill creatures and setup cards. The central strategy uses Buried Alive to place Devoted Druid, Timberwatch Elf, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord into the graveyard. Once Thranduil is on the battlefield, he inherits these activated abilities. By tapping to grant massive power with Timberwatch's ability and untapping by placing -1/-1 counters with Devoted Druid's ability, Thranduil generates arbitrarily high power and infinite green mana. The combo finishes instantly without combat by activating Jarad's ability to sacrifice an infinitely large creature, draining all three opponents simultaneously. Backup plans include wide token combat with Lathril, Blade of the Elves, swarm pumps with Elvish Warmaster, and Staff of Domination loops.
