Format: Commander

Commander: Beorn the Fierce

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a mono-green Bear tribal/Stompy strategy led by Beorn the Fierce. The commander is a 6/6 trample that pumps other Bears, turns a non-Bear into a Bear at combat, and draws two cards when you control three or more Bears. The plan is to ramp hard, deploy cost reducers like Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma and Defiler of Vigor, cast Beorn, and flood the battlefield with Bear tokens from Ayula's Influence, Bearscape, Dancing from Dark to Dawn, and Caller of the Claw. Card advantage comes from Beast Whisperer, Garruk's Uprising, The Great Henge, and Ohran Frostfang. The deck wins through a single massive combat step: Craterhoof Behemoth, Overwhelming Stampede, Unnatural Growth, and Return of the Wildspeaker turn a wide board of Bears into a lethal trampling wave. A +1/+1 counter subtheme with Doubling Season, The Earth Crystal, and Arwen, Weaver of Hope makes the board even bigger. It's a straightforward, high-power green deck that overwhelms opponents with sheer size.
