Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari 'power matters' aristocrats build led by Tom, Bert, and William. The primary strategy uses cheap, high-power creatures such as Kalakscion, Hunger Tyrant, Bygone Colossus, and Slumbering Trudge as fuel for the commander's sacrifice ability, drawing massive bursts of 6 to 9 cards at a time. The deck uses this card advantage to assemble lethal win conditions, including direct life drain through Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and Psychosis Crawler, or massive combat damage using stat doublers like Unnatural Growth and Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus. Goad cards and reanimation spells provide steady mid-game disruption and board presence. The commander's ability to return as an artifact upon dying gives the deck great natural resilience against creature sweepers.
