Deck overview

This Jeskai midrange deck pairs The Twelfth Doctor and Jo Grant to convert historic permanents and cycling into a potent value and combat engine. Jo Grant gives every historic card in hand cycling, allowing the deck to dig through its library at high velocity while rapidly growing Jo Grant with +1/+1 counters. Mana rocks and artifact lands fuel fast deployment and provide historic fodder. The Twelfth Doctor rewards casting spells from exile via Containment Construct, duplicating key threats with demonstrate. Payoffs like Drannith Stinger and Magmakin Artillerist whittle down opponent life totals whenever cards are cycled or discarded. The deck closes games through massive evasive commander attacks, wide token production, or an overwhelming stat buff from The Capitoline Triad. Robust protection pieces like Haystack and Mithril Coat ensure your commanders survive long enough to eliminate the table.
