Treasure Smaug by Teriyaki6

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos Dragon/Treasure deck built around one outrageous premise: damage your own commander to get rich. Smaug the Impenetrable is a 7-mana 8/7 with flying, indestructible, and haste that creates a Treasure for every point of noncombat damage dealt to it, so the deck's "board wipes" double as ramp and combo fuel. Pyrohemia, Pestilence, Blasphemous Act, Chain Reaction, Star of Extinction, and Self-Destruct turn Smaug into a Treasure factory, and the hoard closes the game through Revel in Riches, Hellkite Tyrant's 20-artifact upkeep win, or drain effects like Marionette Apprentice and Mayhem Devil. The 99 includes a full Smaug reunion (Smaug the Magnificent, Smaug, Wicked Worm) plus a Dragon/treasure package - Goldspan Dragon, Magda, Brazen Outlaw, Xorn, Roaming Throne - that gives the deck a second, commander-independent axis of Dragon beatdown and token value.
