Commander: Rendmaw, Creaking Nest

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Golgari token/go-wide deck is helmed by Rendmaw, Creaking Nest, a 5/5 with menace and reach that creates goaded 2/2 Bird tokens whenever you play a card with two or more card types. The deck is built around a dense package of artifact creatures, enchantment creatures, artifact lands, and other multi-type permanents to trigger Rendmaw repeatedly, flooding the board with goaded fliers that force opponents to attack each other. The primary win condition is a massive Craterhoof Behemoth pump, supported by anthems like Beastmaster Ascension and Coat of Arms. Secondary wins come from drain effects (Blood Artist, The Meathook Massacre, Poison-Tip Archer) that chip away life totals as creatures die. The deck also packs a robust recursion suite (Whip of Erebos, Gloomshrieker, Glissa, the Traitor) and several board-level protection spells to ensure resilience against wipes.
