Deck overview

This Karador, Ghost Chieftain deck is an optimized Abzan reanimator and aristocrats combo engine designed to leverage the graveyard as a second hand. Early turns focus on deploying 1- and 2-mana ramp alongside efficient self-mill and Entomb effects. The deck reaches assembly around Turn 4 by stocking key creature pieces and establishing mana velocity. Critical onset occurs on Turn 5, deploying a must-answer reanimation attempt on Protean Hulk, Razaketh, the Foulblooded, or a Buried Alive setup. The primary win condition loops Karmic Guide with Reveillark or Saffi Eriksdotter alongside a sacrifice outlet like Altar of Dementia or Phyrexian Altar and Zulaport Cutthroat, eliminating all three opponents in a single turn with zero response cycles. Robust protection like Grand Abolisher, Flare of Fortitude, and Veil of Summer shields combo turns. While vulnerable to heavy graveyard hate, the deck boasts exceptional redundancy and recovers rapidly.
