Deck overview

This Rakdos deck centers around Black Waltz No. 3, turning every noncreature spell into direct damage against each opponent. The strategy pairs the commander with efficient burn spells, removal, artifacts, and secondary burn amplifiers like Guttersnipe, Mirkwood Bats, and Mai, Scornful Striker. A heavy land count of 40 ensures consistent land drops to cast the commander on curve by Turn 4. Once assembled, the deck chains cheap interaction, card draw, and equipment to steadily reduce all three opponents' life totals simultaneously. A robust removal package featuring Black Sun's Zenith, Languish, and Deadly Precision controls opposing creature boards while triggering the burn engine. The deck operates as a focused casual midrange strategy that applies broad table pressure. Its main vulnerabilities stem from a lack of fast mana ramp, absence of dedicated tutors, and reliance on fragile 2-toughness creatures that lack defensive shielding against targeted removal.
