Deck overview

Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern is a mono-black discard-and-sacrifice deck that turns opponents' losses into the controller's board. Every discard spell, edict effect, and forced-sacrifice permanent feeds Tergrid's theft ability, allowing the deck to steal the best permanents opponents lose. The Lantern face acts as a reusable discard/sacrifice outlet and a late-game mana sink. The primary finish is a large Torment of Hailfire fueled by Cabal Coffers + Urborg, Crypt Ghast, or Magus of the Coffers, or an infinite-mana loop from Magus of the Coffers with Umbral Mantle. The commander is the central value engine, but the deck can win on raw mana even if it never resolves.
