Deck overview

This deck is a high-tempo Rakdos aggro-midrange strategy commanded by Shadow the Hedgehog. The game plan revolves around deploying aggressive haste creatures and generating a steady stream of Treasure tokens using cards like Captain Lannery Storm, Kellogg, Dangerous Mind, and Xorn. Shadow acts as both an efficient attacker and a resilient card-advantage engine, drawing cards whenever haste or flash creatures die. Crucially, Shadow's Chaos Control ability grants Split Second to any spell cast with artifact mana, making key removal, board wipes, and game-ending spells uncounterable and immune to on-stack responses. The deck transitions into the midgame by deploying heavy combat threats such as Shredder, Shadow Master, Goldspan Dragon, and Super State, or executing an infinite combat loop with Combat Celebrant and Rionya, Fire Dancer. Supported by efficient removal and strong recovery, the deck applies relentless pressure while maintaining resource velocity.
