Deck overview

This Grixis deck is built around Doctor Doom, King of Latveria, turning discard and connive mechanics into table-wide burn and card selection. The deck establishes early mana acceleration with low-cost mana rocks before casting Doctor Doom, King of Latveria or complementary Villain creatures. Each combat step, Doom targets a Villain to grant menace and trigger connive, filtering cards while pinging opponents whenever land cards are discarded. The engine scales dramatically through burn payoffs like Brallin, Skyshark Rider, Glint-Horn Buccaneer, and Magmakin Artillerist, which turn every discarded card into direct damage against each opponent. Mass discard spells like Windfall and Dark Deal generate explosive bursts of damage while disrupting opposing hands and enabling Archfiend of Ifnir to sweep opposing creature boards. Life-loss doublers like Bloodletter of Aclazotz and damage multipliers like Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might accelerate the clock to close games swiftly across all opponents, protected by free Commander interaction.
