Jhoira v0.3

Format: Commander

Commander: Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a fast, deterministic Izzet storm deck built around Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain's ability to draw a card off every historic spell - primarily the 30+ cheap artifacts in the 99. The core game plan is to deploy cost reducers (Etherium Sculptor, Foundry Inspector, Helm of Awakening) to make 1-mana artifacts free, then chain them through Jhoira and backup draw engines (Vedalken Archmage, Mystic Forge) to build an enormous storm count and life total. The primary win condition is Aetherflux Reservoir, which can shoot each opponent for 50 life after a long chain. Secondary wins come from Psychosis Crawler's drain as you draw your deck, or from infinite mana loops using Krark-Clan Ironworks + Myr Retriever/Scrap Trawler to fuel a massive Retract turn. The deck packs a dense interaction suite (12+ counterspells, free spells, bounce) to protect its combo turn and interact with opponents.
