Ape Together Strong by user1176922

Format: Commander

Commander: Kibo, Uktabi Prince

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kibo, Uktabi Prince is the engine of a Gruul Ape/Monkey counters deck. The primary plan is to make everyone a banana token, then destroy or force sacrifice those artifacts so every Ape/Monkey grows. A secondary beatdown path uses counter doublers (Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution) and big Ape threats such as Grunn and Chameleon Colossus. Kibo's attack trigger and tap ability fight over his untap step, so sequencing matters: tap to refill bananas or attack to cash them in. Late-game pumps like Kessig Wolf Run and Rogue's Passage convert the board into lethal commander damage. There is no infinite combo; the deck wins incrementally.
