Deck overview

This Grixis deck commanded by Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin is an optimized discard and wheels attrition powerhouse. The strategy revolves around combining symmetrical wheel effects like Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, and Dark Deal with asymmetric payoff pieces such as Narset, Parter of Veils, Notion Thief, Waste Not, and Tergrid, God of Fright. By resolving a payoff into a wheel around Turn 4, the deck rapidly empties opponents' hands, locks down card draw, and generates massive bursts of mana, tokens, or stolen permanents. A formidable interaction package featuring free countermagic like Force of Will, Deflecting Swat, and Fierce Guardianship ensures critical spells resolve and protects the pilot's board. Once total hand control is established, the deck swiftly eliminates the table on Turn 5 using damage multipliers like Megrim, Nekusar, the Mindrazer, Underworld Breach storm lines, or overwhelming board dominance.
