Deck overview

This is a midrange X-spell and Hydra tribal deck helmed by Zaxara, the Exemplary. The core plan leverages Zaxara as both a two-mana rock and a token engine: every X-spell creates a sized Hydra while the deck floods the board with +1/+1-counter creatures, doublers, and mana sinks. Primary wins come from overwhelming combat via trampling, evasive, or hasty Hydras (often amplified by Hardened Scales, Doubling Season, and Unbound Flourishing), backed by large X-finishers such as Villainous Wealth, Doppelgang, or Mathemagics. A secondary infinite-mana line pairs Freed from the Real with Zaxara (or Selvala, Heart of the Wilds) to dump absurd X values. The low 2.03 average mana value and dense ramp package let the deck develop quickly, though sparse tutors keep assembly somewhat draw-dependent.
