Deck overview

This deck is a Boros midrange strategy that turns symmetrical damage sweepers into asymmetric, lethal player damage. Commanded by Lightning, Army of One, the deck leverages her Stagger ability to double all damage dealt to a chosen opponent and their permanents. By pairing this multiplier with damage-reflecting creatures such as Boros Reckoner, Phyrexian Vindicator, and Brash Taunter, the deck transforms board-clearing spells like Blasphemous Act and Star of Extinction into massive bursts of targeted burn. Secondary damage multipliers like Dictate of the Twin Gods and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight reinforce this strategy even when the commander is absent. Defensively, combat tricks such as Deflecting Palm, Comeuppance, and Take the Bait punish aggressive opponents, while Pariah effects redirect incoming damage directly into indestructible reflectors. The deck steadily controls creature boards while eliminating opponents one by one through concentrated damage reflection.
