Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control and topdeck-cheat strategy commanded by Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. The primary game plan accelerates into Yennett by Turn 4, primes the top of the library with cards like Brainstorm, Sensei's Divining Top, or Lim-Dûl's Vault, and attacks on Turn 5 to cast massive odd-costed spells for free. These payloads include game-warping stax pieces like Void Winnower, creature wipes like Toxrill, the Corrosive, and multi-card swings like Breach the Multiverse. The deck supports this game plan with Rule of Law effects such as Archon of Emeria and Deafening Silence, which restrict opponents to one spell per turn while Yennett circumvents casting restrictions through attack triggers. Efficient spot removal and counterspells protect the setup, while backup engines like Marvo, Deep Operative and Vesuvan Drifter maintain pressure if Yennett is answered.
