Deck overview

This deck is a Simic Frog tribal and self-mill combo engine commanded by Grolnok, the Omnivore. The primary plan leverages low-cost Frogs and efficient mana ramp on Turns 1–2 to deploy Grolnok by Turn 3 or 4. Once Grolnok attacks alongside other Frogs, each attack mills three cards, exiling all milled permanents with croak counters to create a massive card-advantage zone in exile. Because the manabase contains zero basic lands, activating Hermit Druid deposits the entire library into croak exile in a single turn. The deck converts this resource advantage into a victory by casting Thassa's Oracle, Laboratory Maniac, or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries directly from croak exile on Turn 5 or 6. While the deck boasts immense card flow and strong equipment shielding via Lightning Greaves and Mithril Coat, it lacks instant-speed counterspells and direct creature tutors, relying on attack-driven mill momentum to overwhelm the table.
