Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir clone and shapeshifter strategy that wins by copying the most powerful permanents on the battlefield. Commanded by Lazav, Dimir Mastermind, the deck turns opposing threats into its own assets while protecting its commander with innate hexproof. A solid mana engine featuring Sol Ring, signets, and medallions powers out versatile shapeshifters like Phyrexian Metamorph, Clever Impersonator, and Auton Soldier. Mass copy effects such as Reflections of Littjara and a kicked Rite of Replication create overwhelming board presence, while Mirror Box and Sakashima of a Thousand Faces bypass the legend rule to duplicate legendary bombs. Reactive interaction from Mana Drain, Counterspell, and Cyclonic Rift keeps opponents in check while the deck builds a decisive combat force. Because the deck scales directly with table strength, it adapts smoothly to varied multiplayer environments while maintaining a resilient, threat-dense plan.
