Blood Avatar by DemonicDeer

Format: Commander

Commander: Extus, Oriq Overlord // Awaken the Blood Avatar

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Mardu sacrifice/reanimator deck helmed by Extus, Oriq Overlord focuses on generating a constant flow of creatures to sacrifice for value, culminating in an infinite drain combo centered around Gravecrawler. The back side, Awaken the Blood Avatar, serves as a secondary finisher, creating a hasty 3/6 token that burns each opponent. The primary game plan is to assemble a loop with Gravecrawler, a Zombie token, a sacrifice outlet (e.g., Ashnod's Altar, Warren Soultrader), and a drain effect (Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance) to drain the table. With no real tutors and limited card draw, the deck relies on redundancy in token generation and ritual acceleration to find its combo pieces. It can also win through combat with a wide token army enabled by Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder and Gisa, the Hellraiser.
