Deck overview

This Selesnya deck centers on Ghalta and Mavren, turning oversized creatures into an overwhelming army of trample Dinosaur tokens or lifelink Vampire swarms. The game plan focuses on heavy early-game ramp using 2- and 3-mana land fetch spells to establish 7 mana by turn 5. Deploying low-cost, high-power creatures such as Pugnacious Hammerskull and Lupine Prototype enables immediate value the turn Ghalta and Mavren enters combat. Card draw engines like Elemental Bond, Garruk's Uprising, and Greater Good convert massive token entries and 12-power bodies into a continuous stream of cards. The deck closes games around turns 7 and 8 by resolving decisive overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede or End-Raze Forerunners to trample through blockers for lethal damage. While the deck boasts immense creature stats and recovery through high land counts, its heavy reliance on the combat step and lack of stack protection leave it vulnerable to well-timed board wipes and targeted exile removal.
