CEDH Gixis Dragonstorm by Buddadragon

Format: Commander

Commander: Crosis, the Purger

Bracket: 4

DeckCheck Threat Index: 28

Deck overview

This is a high-velocity Grixis Dragon deck built around Crosis, the Purger. Its strongest feature is mana: Mana Vault, Sol Ring, Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond, rituals, and several efficient rocks can cast expensive threats well ahead of curve. Tutors and cantrips also make the deck good at finding mana, interaction, or a selected Dragon. The primary ordinary plan is to cast Crosis, the Purger, attack on the following turn, and repeatedly remove one color from an opponent's hand. That creates pressure but not a reliable win, because the commander has no haste, needs to connect, and does not affect permanents or future draws. The Dragon package can generate explosive turns with Dragonstorm, Lathliss, Dragon Queen, Scourge of Valkas, and Terror of the Peaks, but the list does not reliably assemble a protected lethal sequence. It is therefore a powerful general-purpose build rather than a consistent cEDH win deck.
