Commander: Black Cat, Cunning Thief

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Black Cat, Cunning Thief is a mono-black theft and reanimation deck. The primary plan lands Black Cat around turn five, then uses blink, death triggers, and sacrifice effects to exile and cast more opponent cards. Cloning and recursion of Gray Merchant of Asphodel is the main drain path, while Arvinox, the Mind Flail and stolen high-power creatures close the table. Gonti, Lord Warrior of Luxury is the hidden backup engine because it repeats Black Cat's effect at a cheaper rate. The deck is a slow value deck: no infinite loop or one-card blowout. It wins by stealing enough resources, draining devotion, and forcing through combat damage while keeping the board clear.
