Sheoldred (opti) by olitologie

Format: Commander

Commander: Sheoldred, the Apocalypse

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Helmed by Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, this is a mono-black drain-control deck that weaponizes life totals. Sheoldred taxes every opposing draw step and refunds the deck's own draw spells, while Underworld Dreams, Psychosis Crawler, and Syr Konrad, the Grim convert draws and deaths into table-wide damage. The primary kill is the Exquisite Blood loop with any life-gain payoff: Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Marauding Blight-Priest, or Epicure of Blood. A full black tutor package and redundant draw spells make the combo line reliable, while backup plans include Peer into the Abyss into Psychosis Crawler, Aetherflux Reservoir after a life-gain pile, and a giant Exsanguinate fueled by Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast. Sheoldred accelerates the clock and blocks well, but the 99 can still execute the combo-control game if the commander is answered.
