Canon Shadow Deck

Format: Commander

Commander: Shadow the Hedgehog

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos tempo-aggro deck built around hasty creatures, Treasure generation, and a critical mass of Pirates and Vampires. You curve cheap Pirates/Vampires into Shadow the Hedgehog, who attacks the turn he enters because of haste, and then use his death trigger to draw whenever your other flash/haste creatures die. The deck hinges on artifact mana: between Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, and Treasures from cards like Captain Lannery Storm and Brass's Bounty, you can pay for key spells with artifact mana and turn on Shadow's "Chaos Control" split-second clause. The primary wins are combat damage with force multipliers like Angrath's Marauders, Necropolis Regent, and Sanctum Seeker, plus a one-turn kill using Vraska, Scheming Gorgon's ultimate followed by Chandra's Ignition. The Fire Crystal and Anger give the board haste, while Garna, the Bloodflame and God-Pharaoh's Gift provide recursion after trades or wipes.
