Deck overview

This deck is a Temur +1/+1-counter combo build helmed by Animar, Soul of Elements. The game plan is to deploy Animar early behind a dense layer of mana dorks and rocks, use creature casts to grow him, and then exploit his cost reduction to run over with a loop. Primary wins are infinite creature-cast/mana loops involving Ancestral Statue or Peregrine Drake + Temur Sabertooth, converted into lethal damage by Walking Ballista, All Will Be One, or Casey Jones, Back Alley Brute. A second, commander-independent loop uses Hullbreaker Horror + Sol Ring for infinite mana. When the combo is unavailable, the deck pivots to huge counter-doubled creatures with haste via Temur Ascendancy and Rhythm of the Wild. A deep stack-protection suite of counterspells and free interaction keeps the critical pieces on the board.
