Deck overview

This Abzan deck converts high toughness into lethal offensive power under Doran, Besieged by Time. Doran reduces the casting cost of butt-heavy creatures and grants massive +X/+X combat pumps whenever they attack or block. Supported by redundant toughness-damage converters like Assault Formation and Bedrock Tortoise, low-power walls and treefolk transform into severe combat threats. The deck breaks parity using one-sided sweepers like Slaughter the Strong, Destined Confrontation, and Expel the Interlopers, which wipe opposing boards while leaving low-power defenders untouched. Dense acceleration at one and two mana establishes a stable mana base, while an elite protection package featuring Flawless Maneuver, Heroic Intervention, and Robe of Stars defends against interaction. With Doran entering on turn 4, critical combat onset begins on turn 5, steadily overwhelming all three opponents by turn 7.
