Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos spellslinger and burn strategy built around Shadow the Hedgehog. Shadow grants built-in haste and provides card draw whenever it or another creature with haste or flash dies. More uniquely, its Chaos Control ability grants split second to spells cast using artifact mana, making your critical burn spells and removal uncounterable and immune to stack interaction. The deck pairs this protection with classic burn engines such as Guttersnipe, Thermo-Alchemist, and Black Mage's Rod, steadily draining the entire table. High-impact finishers such as Dictate of the Twin Gods, Kaervek the Merciless, and Blasphemous Act paired with Brash Taunter allow you to translate spellslinger velocity into decisive damage bursts. While vulnerable to creature board wipes, the combination of group slug damage and uncounterable split-second spells provides a resilient, interactive game plan.
