Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Spellslinger Control deck commanded by Rona, Sheoldred's Faithful. It operates by establishing an early mana base with 2-CMC artifacts and cantrips, deploying Rona to turn every instant and sorcery into incremental life drain against all opponents. The mid-game is spent controlling the stack with a deep counterspell suite including Counterspell, Arcane Denial, and An Offer You Can't Refuse, while smoothing draws via engines like Archmage Emeritus and Fact or Fiction. In the late game, the deck resolves game-ending anchors like Hullbreaker Horror, Shark Typhoon, and Archfiend of Despair. These threats dominate the battlefield through uncounterable tempo bounces, wide airborne boards, and doubled life loss, closing the game around Turn 9.
