Deck overview

This deck is commanded by Smaug, Wicked Worm, operating as a Rakdos Treasure and aristocrats engine. The primary game plan revolves around accelerating in the early turns using efficient mana rocks and incidental Treasure creators like Shambling Ghast and Deadly Dispute. Upon casting Smaug, the commander capitalizes on opposing artifacts to generate an initial cache of Treasures, subsequently converting Treasure-spent mana into steady card draw. As the midgame progresses, the deck deploys token-damage multipliers such as Mirkwood Bats, Mayhem Devil, and Nadier's Nightblade. It closes games by generating explosive bursts of mana via Mana Geyser or Brass's Bounty, funneling resources into a lethal Exsanguinate or burning the table out through cascading token creation and sacrifice triggers. While resilient to losing individual creatures due to broad redundancy, the deck is reliant on untapping with creature permanents and runs minimal countermagic.
