Deck overview

This Sultai deck is an aggressive +1/+1 counters strategy centered on partner commanders Ukkima, Stalking Shadow and Cazur, Ruthless Stalker. The primary plan leverages Ukkima's natural unblockability to guarantee combat damage, triggering Cazur to place +1/+1 counters on each attacking creature. The 99 enhances this engine with counter multipliers like Corpsejack Menace, Branching Evolution, and Doubling Season, turning small unblockable creatures into massive threats within a few turns. Ukkima provides built-in insurance: if opponents remove it, its leave-the-battlefield trigger deals direct damage equal to its power to any player. Supporting unblockable creatures like Invisible Stalker and Slither Blade ensure the deck maintains offensive momentum even if Ukkima is answered. A lean suite of efficient counterspells and removal protects key permanents and disrupts opposing threats, while The Ozolith and Reyhan ensure invested counters are never lost to board wipes.
