Commander: Meren of Clan Nel Toth

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Golgari aristocrats deck uses Meren of Clan Nel Toth to build steady incremental value and repeatedly recur sacrifice fodder and removal creatures. By sacrificing low-cost creatures, you accumulate experience counters to reanimate key pieces directly to the battlefield every turn. The deck controls opposing boards using edict creatures like Plaguecrafter and Fleshbag Marauder while drawing cards and draining life totals. You win primarily through infinite sacrifice loops, such as Gravecrawler with Phyrexian Altar and a drain outlet like Blood Artist, or via sudden burst kills using Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord sacrificing high-power threats like Jumbo Cactuar.
