Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Aristocrats and Reanimator strategy commanded by Shilgengar, Sire of Famine. The primary game plan revolves around assembling a persist creature like Putrid Goblin alongside a counter-negating permanent such as Solemnity, Vizier of Remedies, or Cathars' Crusade. Because Shilgengar provides a free sacrifice outlet in the command zone, this combination yields infinite Blood tokens and allows you to reanimate your entire graveyard. The deck also generates immense value by sacrificing high-toughness Angels like Angel of the Ruins and Avacyn, Angel of Hope for massive bursts of Blood tokens. Supported by efficient removal, versatile tutors, and resilient phasing protection like Teferi's Protection, the deck controls the board before closing the game with an overwhelming, indestructible flying army.
