Deck overview

This deck is a five-color spellslinger storm strategy built around Codie, Ravenous Codex and the custom Prepare mechanic. Prepare creatures enter ready to cast an adventure-style instant or sorcery copy. When cast, Codie automatically duplicates these spells, turning cheap utility into overwhelming card advantage, tutor power, and mana velocity. Explosive engines like Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song generate massive mana bursts, while Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall and Emeritus of Woe // Demonic Tutor sculpt a lethal hand. The deck transitions smoothly into a Turn 5 finish using Storm-Kiln Artist, Thousand-Year Storm, and a lethal, multi-copied Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate to drain the entire table simultaneously. High-utility blink spells like Eerie Interlude and Semester's End pull double duty by protecting the board and resetting prepare triggers on all creatures at once.
