Deck overview

This Abzan Food-and-life-gain deck is helmed by the partner pair Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit and Sam, Loyal Attendant. The core plan is to generate Food tokens - Sam creates one every combat, and over a dozen other permanents add more - then convert them into life, cards, and creature growth. Life gain fuels Sanguine Bond as the primary win condition, draining each opponent for every point gained, while Dawn of Hope, Well of Lost Dreams, and The Gaffer turn that life into card advantage. The secondary path is combat: Banquet Guests and Feasting Hobbit grow off Food, and Pippin, Warden of Isengard sacrifices four Foods to give the team +3/+3 and haste for a finishing swing. Treebeard, Gracious Host and Rosie Cotton of South Lane compound the value. This is a slow, incremental engine with no fast combo and no tutors to assemble one.
