Deck overview

Maralen, Fae Ascendant helms a Sultai Elf and Faerie typal deck that merges go-wide swarm mechanics with card theft and free-casting. The early game establishes a dense foundation of 1-drop mana dorks like Birds of Paradise and Elvish Mystic alongside token generators like Bitterbloom Bearer. Once Maralen enters on Turn 4, every entering Elf or Faerie exiles cards from opponents' libraries and allows casting an exiled spell for free each turn, capped by your creature count. The deck transitions this advantage into a win between Turns 5 and 7 by resolving mass token producers like Elvish Promenade and Kindred Summons, buffing the board with lords, draining life with Shaman of the Pack, or resolving Living Death following sweepers. Flash enablers let Maralen trigger during opposing turns, while Heroic Intervention and countermagic shield your board.
