Deck overview

This Golgari deck helmed by Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper and Reyhan, Last of the Abzan blends +1/+1 counter synergies, deathtouch combat control, and a toxic proliferation engine. The deck establishes early pressure with efficient threats such as Fynn, the Fangbearer, Bloated Contaminator, and Venerated Rotpriest. Once opponents receive initial poison counters, recurring proliferate triggers from Evolution Sage and Contaminant Grafter escalate the clock table-wide. Reyhan and The Ozolith preserve counter investment through removal, while mid-game attrition pieces like Grave Pact and The Serpent Society keep opposing creature boards clear. High-toughness combat connections trigger Ikra to pad your life total against aggressive decks, and multiplier payoffs like Innkeeper's Talent and Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus close out the game. Supported by resilient graveyard recursion, the deck applies reliable pressure that finishes opponents around Turn 7.
