Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa by user8165258

Format: Commander

Commander: Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a three-color Phyrexian "poison-midrange" deck built to apply toxic/infect damage, multiply those counters with a dense proliferate package, and then weaponize the corrupted threshold. The early game is cheap mites and mana: Skrelv, Defector Mite, Venerated Rotpriest, Plague Myr, and Skrelv's Hive. A single Ichor Rats, Infectious Inquiry, or Vraska's Fall primes the whole table, after which Evolution Sage, Contagion Clasp, Bloated Contaminator, Vraska, Betrayal's Sting, and Karn's Bastion escalate poison to ten. The commander, Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa, is the payoff rather than the enabler: once opponents are corrupted, her end-step trigger exiles their top cards and gives the deck a reusable card-advantage and play-from-exile engine, while Contaminant Grafter, Goliath Hatchery, Geth's Summons, and Wurmquake pile on. Wins come from poison combat (Fynn, the Fangbearer deathtouch double-ups, Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon, Tainted Strike one-shots), Vraska, Betrayal's Sting's ultimate, and Elesh Norn // The Argent Etchings's one-sided board wipe.
