Commander: Neriv, Heart of the Storm

DeckCheck Threat Index: 16

Deck overview

The deck uses Neriv, Heart of the Storm to double damage from Dragons and other creatures that entered during the current turn. Its main setup is Neriv, Dragon Tempest, and a large Dragon. Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, Terror of the Peaks, and Lathliss, Dragon Queen turn later Dragon casts into immediate damage, while Ganax, Astral Hunter, Goldspan Dragon, Rapacious Dragon, and Xorn build Treasure resources. Dihada, Binder of Wills and Bonehoard Dracosaur provide some selection and card access. The deck can create a threatening Dragon board around turn 7, but its threats are expensive, its key enchantment is difficult to find, and its interaction is mostly removal rather than stack control. Treasure and Dragon payoffs can produce explosive turns, yet no supported two-card infinite combo or reliable all-opponent finish is present. It is a strong casual-to-high-power engine deck, not a compact competitive combo deck.
