Deck overview

This deck is a competitive creature storm combo strategy helmed by Animar, Soul of Elements. The primary game plan accelerates Animar onto the battlefield on Turn 2 using efficient one-mana accelerators like Birds of Paradise, Delighted Halfling, and Sol Ring. Once active, Animar accumulates +1/+1 counters from creature casts, dramatically reducing the generic mana cost of subsequent creature spells. On Turn 4, the deck leverages dense tutoring from cards like Transit Mage, Imperial Recruiter, Fabricate, and Survival of the Fittest to assemble its signature two-card infinite combo with Ancestral Statue. Once Animar holds four counters, Ancestral Statue casts for free and bounces itself repeatedly, generating infinite +1/+1 counters and creature entry triggers. The deck closes out the table on the same turn using Walking Ballista, Purphoros, God of the Forge, Agate Instigator, or Finale of Devastation, shielded by robust countermagic and protection pieces like Allosaurus Shepherd and Deflecting Swat.
