Deck overview

This deck is a focused Jund midrange attrition strategy centered on -1/-1 counters, wither damage, and aristocrat drain. Led by The Reaper, King No More, the deck leverages -1/-1 counter placement to simultaneously shrink opposing boards, generate creature tokens via Nest of Scarabs and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, and steal dying opposing creatures. Rather than racing for an immediate combo win, it aims to establish a suffocating mid-game lock using Kulrath Knight to freeze opposing attackers and blockers while wiping utility creatures with Carnifex Demon, Midnight Banshee, and Soul Snuffers. As the board state grinds to a halt, the deck converts dead creatures and proliferating counters into massive card advantage through Generous Patron and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, eventually closing the game over two combat cycles with wide token swarms and passive life drain from Bastion of Remembrance and Poison-Tip Archer.
