The Lord of Bargains by user6204935

Format: Commander

Commander: Bane, Lord of Darkness

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Bane of Lord Darkness leads an Esper control-reanimator deck that uses death triggers, sacrifice outlets, and recursive creatures to generate value and assemble infinite loops. Both faces are relevant, but the deck primarily employs the front face for conditional card advantage via death triggers. The deck's game plan involves enabling Bane to draw-to-reanimate or take advantage of its indestructibility, while secondary win conditions involve drain effects from creatures entering/dying and looping creatures with cards like Reveillark and Karmic Guide. Infinite mana from Ashnod's Altar and Pitiless Plunderer can be used to loop creatures with sacrifice outlets for infinite drain or draw. The hidden commander is Athreos, God of Passage, as a recursion engine.
