Deck overview

This Azorius deck uses Plagon, Lord of the Beach as a high-velocity card engine that converts cheap, high-toughness creatures into massive card advantage. By playing zero-mana and two-mana creatures with higher toughness than power, such as Phyrexian Walker, Sunscape Familiar, and Baral, Chief of Compliance, casting Plagon on turn 3 immediately draws three to four cards. Cheap blink spells like Cloudshift, Essence Flux, and Flicker of Fate repeatedly trigger Plagon to draw through the deck at minimal mana cost. The deck leverages this velocity to assemble a game-ending three-card infinite combo using Archaeomancer, Peregrine Drake, and Ghostly Flicker or Displace. Once infinite mana is generated, the deck blinks Plagon to draw its entire library and loops Reality Shift to exile every opponent's library while holding comprehensive counterspell protection.
