K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth by Cosmany

Format: Commander

Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black deck is built around K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth and his ability to convert life into black mana, enabling explosive mana curves and early deployment of high-impact spells. The primary game plan revolves around a value engine of sacrifice, death triggers, and drain effects. Key pieces like Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos, Bastion of Remembrance, and Syr Konrad, the Grim convert creature deaths into table-wide damage and forced sacrifices. The deck also packs robust reanimation (Living Death, Behold the Sinister Six!, Dread Return) and token generation (Endrek Sahr, Ghoulcaller Gisa) to churn the engine. Win conditions include massive X-spells (Exsanguinate, Torment of Hailfire) and combo loops such as Chain of Smog + Professor Onyx. The commander is a powerful accelerator but not essential-the deck's core strategy executes with or without him.
