Deck overview

This mono-black deck is an aggressive storm and combo powerhouse led by Gwenom, Remorseless. Gwenom acts as a Bolas's Citadel in the command zone: whenever she attacks, you may play cards directly from the top of your library until end of turn by paying life rather than mana. Supported by Gwenom's lifelink and a dense suite of low-cost artifacts, dark rituals, and tutors, the deck accelerates into explosive Turn 4 attack turns that churn through the library at negligible mana cost. The deck closes games with high-synergy combos, most notably the compact two-card loop of Professor Onyx and Chain of Smog, storm finishes with Aetherflux Reservoir, or recursive sacrifice loops using Mortuary and Death Cultist. While vulnerable to spell-limiting stax and targeted creature removal before combat, the list features robust backup routes, redundant tutor access, and independent win packages that ensure lethal inevitability.
